Vastu

Office vastu

Desk direction, entrance and seating for a workplace rather than a home. Commercial practice weighs which way a person faces while working, and where money is counted, far more heavily than a domestic layout does.

The premises face

Looking out from the main entrance.

You face this way at your desk

The direction you look when seated, not where the desk is in the room.

The layout

The one rule most offices break

Sitting with your back to the door. Vastu objects to it, and so does everyone who has ever done it — you cannot see who enters, so part of your attention never settles. It is a good illustration of what these rules mostly are: observations about how people actually work in rooms, carried forward for a very long time.

Why this is a separate tool

A workplace is not a house with different furniture. The seating of the person who makes decisions, the direction staff face, and where cash is kept carry weights that have no equivalent at home — and a home rubric has opinions about bedrooms and pooja rooms that are meaningless here. Two rule sets, so neither has to be stretched.

For a home, use room-wise vastu.
